Harken keeps sending her on lame human-interest stories. Ed Harken (Fred Willard, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, American Wedding) decides to give her a chance, but nobody will take her seriously. Corningstone is trying to break into the male-dominated world of local news. This setting not only allows director Adam McKay to dress everybody in those ubiquitous seventies clothing that people think are cool, but also allows for the role of Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate, Wonderland, Grand Theft Parsons). It's the 1970s, and everything was a lot simpler. His likability tests the limits here as Ron Burgundy, the most popular news anchor in San Diego. His sometimes man-child-like persona, used to great effect in Elf, gives him a sense of innocence and likability. Sometimes, this actually makes the joke funnier. Ferrell ( Starsky & Hutch, Elf), has this go-fro-broke sense of humor where he will often keep going on a joke, past the point of being funny. Most of the time, it falls somewhere in the middle, and one's appreciation of this film centers squarely on how one feels about Will Ferrell. At its best, it is a zany riot of laughs.

His best stupid comedy I've seen in years. There is a scene in which a lot of cameos, which was fun too. Even Christina Appelgate, who was a part of, which is, frankly, no one could do is to do it yourself and give a few laughs. Will Ferrell is known star of the film, which is just perfect, Ron. I loved all the characters in the film dunno.I, every role, no matter how small was a great moment or two. He was like a mathematical formula comedy, laughs spread so that it has been consistently funny. There are more laughs in the last half hour of the first half-hour, which usually never happens. Most of the time a comedy where he uses all the laughs in the first hour, and then try to make a serious lovey dovey turn of the last act. This is such a great comedy, Id say Naked Gun generation.As associated with many, many other comedies Anchorman actually gets better as it moves forward.

This is a film that is aware of its stupidity, and best of all, he does not take it so skillfully that it is just as silly and immature as he wants to be. Review: During the year, packed comedies, which were all a bit ridiculous and silly (and everything seemed to be Ben Stiller), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy reigns supreme over them all.
